My goal in launching FaithConnect is to create a vibrant virtual community centered around Christian faith, personal growth, and practical support. This community will integrate several aspects:

• Sharing God's word and inspiration by sharing uplifting content and devotional messages.

• Motivation and support: The community will offer a supportive network, giving members a forum for sharing personal  testimonies to inspire, encourage  and offer hope to others.

• Fundraising for those in need: I have been blessed with great support of my service and personal growth activities. I’ve posted daily motivational quotes and inspirations I have found inspiring along with pictures of flowers on my personal Facebook page for years. I’ve also invited my Facebook family and friends to support fundraising projects with great success. We have donated over 3000 meals through virtual drives for the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Donations of supplies were made to a local church food pantry and a shelter for women and children. A book drive was held to provide books to two Chicago public school classrooms, adding to the class library and providing a book for each child to take home. Most recently I was supported, along with my son, in raising funds to purchase bookbags filled with school supplies for back to school this year. Bags were distributed at Chicago’s annual Bud Billiken Parade.

• Healthy living tips, recipes, and fitness: Keeping in mind this is not intended to replace professional medical advice, I hope to promote healthy living by sharing healthy eating guides and fitness challenges or workouts. This is a major part of my personal growth and I hope to encourage others who may be on the same path.

• Uplifting music: FaithConnect will share and invite recommendations of worship or inspirational music or suggest artists that align with the community's mission.

• Book recommendations: The community will share suggestions for devotional books, or books on healthy living and emotional well-being. Discussion groups based on these readings will be a feature available to members.
